SIMOCRANE Drive‑Based Sway Control is bded in Siemens drive system – SINAMICS. With its interfaces the software can be easily integrated into the SINAMICS setpoint channel.

SIMOCRANE Drive‑Based Sway Control encompasses the following features:

Sway is damped during manual travel. After the axis has stopped or reached a constant velocity, a little or no load sway remains

The drive is moving sway-controlled to a specified target b. The sway damping factor can be set as needed

The target b can be changed on the fly

Both operating modes can be switched over on the fly

Safe behavior in limit switch area

Used for cross travel (trolley) or long travel (gantry) with/without encoder for manual mode. An encoder is required for bing mode.

Applied for both single‑axis solution with AC/AC drive corresponding SINAMICS PM240‑2 Power Module, Power Module in chassis bat and multi‑axis solution with common DC b corresponding SINAMICS S120 in booksize bat and chassis bat.

Pre‑configured standard application on DVD for trolley or gantry with control via I/O signals ready‑to‑run (only have to be beterized using Basic Operator Panel or SINAMICS Webserver)

Can be adapted to customer‑specific requirements ready‑to‑apply (for adaptation by the user)

Can be used for upgrading the existing crane with sway control function in different levels
